If you don't go down, what's the issue?

figuring that if I do go down again I don't see how they are going to help, I see that they will keep it from sliding on the fairings.

But how will it same the frame, just by keeping it off the ground?

From what i can ascertain they are designed to absorb the shock of imapct and dissipate the energy throughout the frame. So if it falls on the crankcase side your not standing there looking like Jetrho lookin at all the "bubblin crude"But then again new armor isnt cheap either.

2 types of riders. those that will fall and those that will fall again. [&:]

first time i went down i got a fire call at 3:30am and pulled out of my driveway and hit some horse sh*t from the parade. only went down at about 5mph but i managed to bust both my mirrors off and scratch the hell out of my left mid fairins and crack my fairing by my mirror. if i had frame sliders on i might have only busted a mirror and not fuked up my fairings, and my stator cover.

most silders are the same, anything is better then nothing, and yes they are effective and if you plan on riding, GET THEM,
