not really hard to install.
BUT, the magnetic are sensitive, so its easy to overshift so the indicator doesn`t hang with, so when the indicator shows 4th gear you are in 5th or 3rd gear.. maybe its only to adjust the sensors a bit.

Hello again,

I solved that problem with our universal gear indicator.

In my VFR 800FI `98 there is a module called "clutch diode", and that diode send signal to the NEUTRAL INDICATOR.

And that diode causes problems with our Universal gear indicator.

In my vfr I took the WHITE cable from our gear indicator and connect with the cable from "neutral switch" before "clutch diode". After that, our problem with the indicator disapeared AND IT WORKS CORRECTLY.

I can not find wiring diagram for CBR F2, but I found the diagram for CBR F4, and I saw the "clutch diode" on that diagram, that`s why I think You could have same problem as I.

Hi, i do not have pictures yet, because at the same time I decided to change - in GIMP - my speedometer from miles to kilomteres. And I did not complete my bike yet.

I will show You pictures. I promise.

I do not understand problem with 8 th gear?

It will always show You 7th or 8th gear if You make bad shift.

It will correct counting after going down to the neutral.
