You can turbo anything. How much money do have? lol I've been thinking about it myself, but because of the high compression of my F4 (12:1) I would have to drop the compression of the engine with new pistons to about to 8.5:1 in order to throw 7lbs of boost, which would then bring the compression ratio back up to around the stock 12:1. Bullet proof if you do properly, but I haven't found anyone who sells sells low compression pistons, found a few that bring it up to 12.8:1, but you almost would need octane boost to be able to run it.

For future reference Wiseco will make pistons do just about anything you want, low compression, high compression, domed, dished, etc. It won't be cheap as shelf pistons, but it's definately possible.

my unclehad a turbo off a datona "dodge" and ran it 4 psi onhios now my98 f3 and it pulled up in every gear you need a aftermarket airbox with crazy jetted carbs and full exhaust from mid pipe on "from turbo on" with a boost gauge and aftermarket fuel pump with crazy pressure o and you will need a heat sink with a cooler fan on the plug behind the right tial fairing look at pix in the second pic look right next to the wind screen see that lil white circle thats the boost gauge o and by the way busa and rc51 couldnt touchhim on top or bottom end with some lag under 4000 rpm and thats the truth....... but it was so scary before my uncle sold me the bike he took the turbo off and sold it so i wouldnt kill my self sold it to a dood in texas

i Havent done this on a bike, but when you add a turbo to a car you can almost always get a oil pressure feed from the port for the oil pressure sending unit oil oil light switch on the back of the block, and then you need to drill into the oil pan for the return line. shouldnt be any different on cbr, but if you decide to do it make sure to figure out what size line and/or restrictor your turbo would need. Most turbos cant handle the kind of oil pressure a motorcycle engine puts out.

Any pressurized source of oil from the engine will work, but it shouldn't exceed 50psi into the turbo, much less if it's a ball bearing type. The oil then has to drain by gravity back into the sump. If the turbo is mounted lower than the oil level, it will need a scavenge pump to do the draining for it. If the oil can't freely drain out, it pools up and starts coming out the shaft seals.

If a blow-through carburetor setup is used, it needs to have an electric fuel pump and a boost referencing pressure regulator. The pump must be capable of more psi than you plan on boosting because it has to overcome the manifold pressure to maintain the base pressure going into the carbs.
