Lets see, I think you should start by getting some new grips, maybe a colored screen, a 900 motor, get rid of the bunjee, upside down forks, get some 8ball valve stem covers, maybe some custom bodywork. oh yeah, almost forgot the rim tape, and wrap it up with a one-off exhaust.
Dunno, just a couple of suggestions

Yeah good suggestions. I would love to put a 900 motor on it but i think i will just buy a 900 RR instead. Money really aint that big of a deal and yeah on the body workI would like to take all the smokin joe stuff off and store it then go with some crazy body work. My bro is a body man at a reso shop trying to talk him into hooking somthing up. Also this will probably be a lame question but how hard are the grips to put on? I have changed them on my banshees and i could never get them to stick really good. Used grip glue but never worked for me, and what do you mean 'upside down forks never heard of that before?

he's talking about the inverted forks like the new 600 and 1000rr have. I would go down a tooth on the front sprocket, undertail, rear integrator kit, front flush mounts, double bubble windscreen, full exhaust, jet kit, race tec your forks and set to body weight, seat cowl, and trunk kit!

Both these guys about covered it...and rsp...is a mod master in case you haven't seen his "CBR"...check it out.

Looks like a real personal creation..and very professional.

Personally, on a stock sport bike, usually the only things I don't like and hence want to change....

1. Get rid of the passenger seat, pegs, peg adaptors, anything that suggests 2 up riding.

ONE...of the reasons...I buy and ride sport bike because I like to think of myself as a wannabe racer...

If I can't be...least my bike can look like one.

2. Seat cowl...or complete race tail would be better idea...clip-ons if the bike doesn't come with below the triple clamp bars...race upper
bodywork...rearsets...fender eliminator kit...flush mount turn signals...tiny turn signals on the rear...

3. The most bare bones...uncovered seat you can get. dense cell foam only....

No striped or any kind of leather cover...that's...lame.

4. Engine and performance stuff...

If you can afford it...

a. An over-bore of the engine cylinders. Lighter and bigger pistons...con-rods...

b. polishing and honing the valves and all related components...valves...valve seats...cam amd cam lobes...timing..etc.

c. a race kit for the carb or upgrade to the Fi computer map

d. Full race exhaust...headers...everything....make sure they work well with the carb or Fi set-up...

e. Lightest wheels you can get...magnesium...

f. Barely street legal rubber....not slicks...but **** close...

g. Braking upgrades...braided lines...lighter rotors...(carbon brakes if you can get them)...best brake pads...

h. Transmission that is geared for track use....tall first gear...and a long....stretching 6th gear....

i. suspension...best rear shock...and forks...and get them or learn yourself how to set them up.

Just the things I would do to a new CBR, Ducati, or ZX.

If I could afford...

Just wanted to add...

I hate how the major 4 try and make a sport bike "comfortable".

I want a race bike, or damn near it...off the show room floor.

If I wanted a standard...or a cruiser...or a chopper...I'd buy one...

If it's me, i'd just have the front forks revalved/resprung, penske rear shock, pilot powers, sharkskinz race plastics, lightweight wheels, full system exhaust, then some of them $1000 carbs that are supposed to be the best, forgot who makes them though. Oh, and maybe some different brake rotors in the front and some better pads. Oh, and remove the gauges, just install a race tach, then do the brembo radial master cylinder and some steel braided brake lines

All the suggestions are great but dont forget the 94 VFR 750 single-sided swingarm, upgrade to F4I gauges, and undertail exhaust. Just my thoughts.
