Default F3 to F4i gauges - some questions

Hey guys. I have an f4i body on my bike. I was originally going to keep the stock F3 gauges because the f4i gauges cost too much, but I was able to pick up some gauges from a local guy for only $60!!! talk about a steal.

anyways, i've been doing research on it. from what i know, you gotta splice each individual wire to a certain one (i already got the list so its not a problem). but here are my questions

from what know, i will need a new thermo sensor in order to get the correct temperature reading. i saw people list these as possible working replacements:

http://www.ronayers.com/browseparts....e.ronayers.com

http://www.ronayers.com/browseparts....e.ronayers.com

i already know the fuel light is too complicated im not gonna deal with that. and also the kick stand light will no longer work as well. I was just mainly worried about the temperature gauge. any help would be appreciated. thanks guys

these are the f4i plugs. the black one is supposed to be missing 2 prongs?? i guess it dont matter since im directly splicin the wires anyways

your first link part# 37750-KV3-951 is the correct one, 98-99 CBR900 Thermo Unit, as far as the speedometer goes, I have gone with a Speedohealer. Not that it matters but your black plug is supposed to missing 2 prongs

I don't know about yours but my gauges don't have a kickstand light.

I just did this swap 10 mins ago and after about an hour of trying, I finally discovered how to use the 'FI' bulb as the kickstand indicator!! To add, it is also functional in that if you put the kickstand down in gear, it stalls!

I will post this on every forum in which I have researched and read about this swap! I have yet to find the answer that I was looking for and so I want to share this with everyone.

f3's yellow/black wire connects to f4i's white/blue wire AND NOT it's green/white wire.

I couldn't have the signal all the way to the right on because I had the left one on :P

Ebay is probably your best bet. There's usually a good supply of them on there.
