Default Custom home made fairing example pictures

Hi everyone,
Here are a couple pictures of a fairing mod I did. I hope these pictures help those that are interest in this mod. This would be a great winter project. I was not that hard to do just you have to make sure you cut the fairings correctly. If you have any questions just reply.

Did you lower the clip-on's? Looks like it's short on handlebar clearance in these photos....

CBRFEAVER,
Well the reason why the front fairing looks so low is because the front fairing stay is not installed. The stay will lift the fairing up away from the handle bars. The undertail exhaust is a 600RR pipe but I just got my subframe modified to fit a set of stock R1 pipes with race baffels. I went to the shop the other day and saw it and I cant wait until it is finished. Also I just figured out a way to reproduce my customs fairings the F3/R1 and the F3/F4I. I hope with this new method I can press them out in a timely manner. I am still testing my manufacturing methods so look for these fairings in the up comming month. I currently waiting on materials from the states. So check back now and then for a update.

The swingarm was not that hard. The only problem was finding the parts needed to mount it up because its a modification and there is not a known list of parts. So my friend and I made most of the small parts needed like spacers, bushings, and even a pro link style shock mount. Usually people just make a mount and weld it to the top of the VFR swingarm. We wanted to keep the bike suspension characteristics as the same so my friend made the shock mount to match the travel length and angle of the VFR shock.
There was alot of other things that was done also but if you have everything you need in front of you then its a easy job.

MD,
The clearance is great once you install the the stay. The picture just show a mock up. There are also pictures on cbrworld.net under pictures or modifications.

I must say that looks so wrong. Do not do this as people will laugh at you. If you wanted a yamaha go get yourself a yamaha, but other than that stop what you are doing. From looking at the photo, it just shows that you can't afford a yamaha so you are doing the next best thing and that is merging honda and yamaha together as one bike.
so what will you be calling this new creation ????? i know you can call it a "Yamonda CB R1"
