I finally got the bike all back together mechanically, but i wanted to modernize the body, its a blank canvas, i was hoping someone had some pix of previous mods, ill have pix of the bike as soon as i learn how to upload the pix on here, thanks for looking.

 

i purchased a 2005 cbr 600rr for the f2, also getting a upper fairing stay, and headlight. the plastics for the f2 are tricky to find, the main stuff is there but the inners and mids are a pain, ill hopefully start mocking the fairings up by march pix should be up pretty soon.

 

the fairings arrived yesterday, just waiting for the front stay, headlight, seat and some small stuff for it soon, i'm having trouble trying to up load the progress pix, soon as i figure it out they should be up pretty soon

finally got the pix uploaded, here is the bike when we first got it, ruff but with a lot of tlc it cleaned up well. ive got some pix of the new body just waiting on the upper stay, headlight, and a front seat, kinda mocked the seat up to get an idea where things might have a problem, and noticed that the regulator and cdi box would have to be relocated the regulator where thinking about moving it backwards along the frame to where the opening is on the rear fairing to give it plenty of cool air, the cdi where thinking about mounting it under the middle of the fairing. but there'll be more pix comming

 

found out that the fairing stay was a lil tricky but once you get the upper fairing on it helps when you mount the lowers on the sides to see how it will line up. but a lil grinding here and shaving there it starting to come together along with some fairing brackets. was having problems with the exhaust that the bike came with so a set of headers where ordered an now im just waiting on some headlights, seat and some hardware from the dealer to install the seat mounting stuff but the front is almost done. sure looks different. have some more pix soon.

 

how did you get the tail to stay??? what mods did u have to do?? pic??

 

the tail was a lil tricky, i had alot of help from dementedf3's write up of how he did his, he's got a f4 front witha 600rr rear, the sub frame had to be cut with a small slice near the rear of sub frame, and every thing else is making brackets. there are a couple of things that you will need it depends on what rr body you get the 03-04 body had a locking mech that is cable attached and there is no hole where the pass seat is the 05-06 body had the hole in front of the pass seat, i purchased the rear catch for the rear seat along with the rear cross bar and lock set which made the install alot less stressfull. the rear catch is only found on the parts fiech under 03-04 rear cowling the part number is BRACKET, SEAT HOOK 3881409-001. and the cross bar is PLATE, CENTER CROSS 3868366-001 and just depending on which body you get determinds which lock set to get ill have the pix of the tail done for ya pretty soon.

 

the bracket from the seat tabs to the rear frame help support the frame just dont cut all the way threw just a small cut is all that is needed to help bend up the sub frame the lower bar of the subframe should look straigt instead of the slight bend before it meets the upper frame bar the white circles show which bar aslong as the bars pretty much straight then bracket it down and weld the cuts.
