600rr forks on f3

I have a 600 f3 frame, going to build up from there. Was wondering if a 600rr front forlks and triple trees will fit. Or can I upgrade with a different front setup? just want better forks then the f3s'. Thanks Chad

I've heard of people putting the 929 front end on them. As long as the triples are the same length anything should work, but your going to need the proper front wheel, axle, spacers, rotors, calipers, and different clip ons for the handle bars. Not to mention different brake lines.

nothing wrong with f3 forks , just have them revalved and have race tech springs put in and set your your weight , putting a different front end usually means adding more weight , since f3's use 41mm forks and most other bikes use larger mm

RE: 600rr forks on f3

929 forks fit on an F3, Honda uses the same steering stem dimensions on all its bikes. 929/600rr forks fit correctly, the only problems are is that the fairing stay needs to be notched for clearance. and the turning radius is increased. Mostly the biggest problem is the difference in the fork diameters and the trail. Honda usually sets their trial from the triple clamp offset. and the stock F3 forks are somewhere in the 35mm neighborhood. The 929 fork diameter is in the 50mm neigborhood. The 600rr is similar to the 929 and has many of the same problems. As a result modifying the stay and fairing(removing the lower access cover on the upper) are required.

Sorry about the misspelled words, my proofreading needs some work, I forgot to mention one thing. It helps with clearence issues immensly if you go from the under mounted clip-on like on the 929 or 600rr, to over mounted clip-onlike on the stock F3.

Thanks for the help I was curious since I need the whole front end. I think I will buy the F3 forks and get them set up for my weight thanks again.
