so i want to paint my windscreen black cuz i'm too cheap to buy a new one lol...so my question is has anyone here done this before or have any advice? what kind of paint or any type of prep work i should do? thanks in advance guys

 

I used Krylon fusion because I heard it bonds to plastic better than other paints. I just took the shield off, cleaned it, taped it, and then sprayed the inside with several thin coats. Don't get impatient and put it on real thick or it will crack. It really looks good and you don't have to worry about the fit like you do an aftermarket shield.

I also could find better things to do with the $$ for a DB screenused the same stuff, looks great IMO. Same thing I just pulled it off, cleaned it and taped off to prevent overspray on the front.

for those of you thinking about doing it... its illegal at least in cali, you have to be able to see through your windscreen. just fyi im not knocking ya.
