Default Wanna Chrome Your Wheels?

Chrome wheels look really nice on bikes but be very cautious about where you get them done.

My boyfriend has a 2005 R1, on February 14th he sent his wheels and rims to Volcano Custom Chrome and Polishing in California. The man had guarenteed they would be all done and back within a 2 week time period (we live in NJ).

He JUST got them back on May 15th. A 2 week job turned into a 3 month nightmare. The company wouldnt return his calls, or emails, or even his myspace messages. They ended up blocking his AIM screen name AND they also screened their phone calls. My boyfriend ended up BLOCKING his phone number one day when he called and they finally picked up the phone! The company gave him such a run around, it was horrible.

So finally he gets the rims back... WRONG COLOR CHROME, NOT COMPLETELY CHROMED and THEY SENT HIM SOMEONE ELSES PARTS!!! Luckily, theres a guy he talks with on his R1 forum... and the extra parts he got turned out to be this guys on the forum (small world, aint it?)

I dont recommend anyone using this company for any of their chroming needs, they did a horrible job, it took way too long and it wasnt worth the aggravation. [:@]

I know it's a hassle but you should consider filing a tort claim against that business and try to collect on damages. Obviously they have breached their contract with you and cause "reasonable" damages.

People like that should not bbe in business.
