RE: Two Brothers M2 Slip-on
Yes. It came in today and Two bro's made a boo boo. First of all, I have an 06, and the M2 I ordered is for 01-06. WRONG! They sent the wrong mid pipe. So it had to be shipped back and *hopefully* was overnighted with the V.A.L.E. setup (same M2 CF) just different connectoids. I *heard* the regular slip ons had leakage problems?
Yes, going to install it at the shop (love that lift). Pics and vid/aud will follow.

Ok here's the deal, straight from Two Bro's.... They are discontinuing their standard slip on's and parts for the standard slip ons and switching to the V.A.L.E. systems only.
Rather than get a midpipe for the 06, I'm returning mine (P/N 005-040407M) and getting the V.A.L.E.... It's a special order part, and will be here in a week I guess. Since my boss doesn't have a dealer account with two bro's, I have to order it through TR. Bummer.
So OP, keep that in mind before ordering the standard slip on-- order the VALE. It's the same cost wise.
Sound clips are here..

Love it. I little harder to install, I hear, but it was easy for me. I removed all of the plastic off the tail so I could line everything up and was able to tighten it in place. I was worried about it twisting to one side. I'd snug it up then place the tail back on to make sure it looked alright. Then I noticed it hung too low for my taste, so I had to modify the brackets and redo everything. Looks much better than what they intended it to look like.
Here's a couple of pics to get you more excited about yours coming in...

If you have an RR, disregard the below post.
The 2006 F4i's (and I'm sure it's been mentioned many times) need to get the California model exhausts and the reason for that is because of the emissions (O2 module) that is located on the midpipe itself.
If you don't and order an 01-05 exhaust anyway, you will get an exhaust system with the incorrect midpipe that will require you to drill a hole and weld a nut into the pipe to put your O2 sensor in it. Yes, your bike will run without it, but it will A) run like poo poo, and B) you will get incredibley (sp?) crappy gas mileage.
Too much work in my opinion, but hey, to each his own. I just don't know a welder.
Say you're pretty convinced on getting that Two bro's pipe. Great. So go to their website, navigate yourself around and find the list of exhausts for the 06 F4i, standard mount. The High Mount system is not compatible with your bike, but I've known a few ppl on here that have it.
There's quite a few choices. Once you narrow down your list to what you want (or would take), I suggest you start writing down the part numbers and then go on your search on the web for the best price on what you can afford. Make sure you get the V.A.L.E slip on and make sure you clarify when your ordering it that you need it for 06, california emissions (even if you don't live in California) or you will get the wrong midpipe. VERY IMPORTANT-- I've seen this happen many times and those CSR's are idiots.
HTH.

RE: Two Brothers M2 Slip-on
^^ so my 04 600 F4i won't need a CA model exhaust? just wanna make sure before i order one. ive been thinking about micron or two brothers. i know 2 bros have the pop rivets in the muffler...any chance that anyone has had vibrating or rattling problems?? this is really the only factor left in my decision.
