Top speed
gearing commander is NOT PHYSICS. does the website take into account drag made by different riding positions? sizes? wind speed and direction? weight and tires? tire pressure (rolling res)? air pressure through elevation and humidity? there are a million different factors to be taken into account IN ADDITION to gearing. any "calculation" aka guess made at top speed found by taking a known speed and gearing and then taking an unknown top speed and known gearing is called a theoretical top speed, most realist (aka normal people) would call it a "guess". NOT PHYSICS. not be an ahole but really, wtf? COMPLETELY untrue statement.
many reputable mag's have tested to 07+600rr's to be capable of a little under 165mph stock. gearing limited btw
OMFG

well i guess you told me...
don't post false information and say it's fact. i'll hook up a gps to my bike and post pics, doesn't make it unargueable fact, just a fact the my specific bike can do that. btw the redline of the new 600rr's is 15000 from the factory, not 13200
The gearcommander to me is full of information of all the gear ratios on different motorcycles made. Science has always used formulas to figure the physics of how thing operate. Although they don't take into account clutch slipage or tire height it is the closes thing to accuracy that the regular john can use to figure speed. I agree with the gps, I used one the other day and they amaze me. Science has come a long way. Johnny
The gearingcommander figure should actually be called "theoretical top speed in a vacuum with otherwise perfect conditions and hardware."
get tired of 600 riders saying they're ripping at 170 (only r6's), literbike riders saying they are "limited" to 186 (lol, not even the 10r), and busa/14r guys saying they can go 200mph, uphill bothways, in the snow. all talk. would appreciate more people using a gps on their own specific bike and then posted. my bike tells me i'm going 180+ when pegged but my gearing is -1/+1. went 140 (gps) without fairing and with major clutch slip but will test now that i have it all put back together and the clutch is good. top speed isn't important imo, really it's how u get there and how u can use that power but i will test anyways and post conditions along with it
so ihave a speedo healer im about to install. it has a top speed review option. it is suppose to be within 1 percent accurate. would you guys be happy if i took apic of that? or is that still a lye? not trying to be a dick just asking.
