Default Should I get a Power Commander?

I installed a Two Brothers Titanium slip on pipe on my 05 CBR 600RR. Is it worth $350+ dollars to install a Power Commander? Thanks.

A power commander is worth it even on a stock bike. These bikes are made LEAN from the factory as to pass the EPA's strict regulations for emissions. The added benefit of relocating power is a superb benefit for riding on the street.

He is right. You will most likely see better gains from a tuned power commander then you will from standard bolt-ons. For best emissions the air/fuel ratios are set to or near 14.7 to 1 and for best performance you want 12.7 to one. This adjustment will make a difference and it will do it for the entire rpm range of the motor.

Is it necessary to get it tuned at one of the dyno jet approved places for mapping?

Power commander is a definite must, especially if you have an aftermarket slip-on. Get on eBay and start looking. After about a week of looking, i found a brand new PCIIIUSB for $200. Just make sure it is the USB version and you will be fine. Should be able to find one for less than $250, and it is definitely worth the money.

Thanks again. I am looking around for the best price. I live in Central California and some dealerships have told me that they can no longer be installed. Something regarding emissions. Huh! One person said I can still put it on, but it will be hard to have someone put it on a dyno for mapping. I'll keep searching.

I have a TwoBrothers as well on my F4i and a PC USB III. They have the dyno tuned map for that pipe in the sofeware that comes with it or you can download it off their web-site.
Hunt Ebay for a day or two, because I bought my PC USBIII brand new in the box for on only $230.
As far as install you're being feed BS.. There are no emission regulation on motorcycles as of yet in the US.. 04'+ Cali bikes have emission crap on them and ranging from model in the 49state 05-'06+ have emission crap.
Yes you can install it and a dyno tune will run you around $150 though you don't need to.. You can down load the map into the PC and adjust it on your PC, it's all really easy honestly. Best O'l luck>
