Default Removing the reflectors

I removed the reflectors on the front wheel on my 07 600RR, and when I put the screws back in the fender, the rubber grommet gets squished from around the screw. I'm wondering if we need to keep the reflector bracket in there to provide the proper spacing for the front fender?

I dunno, I thought the rubber is supposed to be there. I was just curious what others have done, if anything.

cut the reflector off of the bracket and then put the bracket back where it was thats what i did and all turned out well. i cant remember if i flipped the brackets around so the cut part would not be visible but give it a try i think you will like it.

+1 ^^^^ take reflector off....and put it in a vise and hacksaw (or dremmel)it off so it NOT exposed around your fender...then reinstall using new custom mod.....

I finished it tonight! I held it with vice grips and then hacksawed with other hand. I honestly dont know of a harder way to do it, but I did it that way anyway LOL. Much better fit. Thanks!
