Not if you use high temp paint, like from advanced auto engine finishing paint. Works great so far. No proiblems.

Powder, is cool... but actualy holds engine heat in !!!!! It is melted togather vinyl
particles... a plastic coating... heat proof bbq/ engine type paint is best. A light dusting, is proper...Hd people ,that "powder" there engines, freq. end up adding an aux. oil cooler. Paint is alot easyier to reshoot, if scratched too, cheaper...
Agreed, little else looks as cool as powder, low maintanence, thickness of coating... but the truth is it really does'nt belong on any part of an engine that
"sheds heat"(all), unless holding heat in,IS the desired effect.
"Pops " Yoshimura, used to silicon carbide blast, his engine cases, cyl.,heads, covers... to increase heat disapation. The amount of increase in cooling,is tremendous!!!!!
Free and clean, Ripp'n

you're lucky...i am going to be doing this in about a week...sending them off that is...i am getting my midpipe ceramic coated as well....i'm not doing the levers cause i am going to get some pazzos in anno red...but i am doing the two covers, rearsets, pegs, and a few small pieces....all in gloss black, primarily because i am going to do the swing, sub and frame later in gloss as well (far off though...maybe when i get my paintjob)....but i will take before and after pics and get em up....should be nice i think...going all red/black...getting rid of ANYTHING silver on the bike...(even getting a red anno screw set to replace every screw with red (or maybe blue) anno)....ehhh..we'll see...
