I've always called it the front marker light... it's a 12V5W and it's a 194 bulb. I ordered the LED194W so it's not the yellowish look.

Simple... two screws on the front then find something that you can hook in behind the plastic lens to remove it. Mine was a little difficult so I used a paper clip to hook in the screw holes and pull it out. The bulb is a simple plug in.

It's actually more of a "sidemarker" type of light. If you have your lowbeam on only at night, and you look at the right side of the bike from a distance, you can not tell the headlight is on. But you can see the "position light" serving as a "sidemarker" type of light.

It's a 194 wedge-base bulb and you can get LED's for this light at http://www.superbrightleds.com. This is where I buy all my LED stuff from, and they're great.

i believe you can actually just remove the bulb socket from the back of the housing with 1/4 turn to the socket, rather than remove/damage the lens and mess up that foam gasket. those bulbs tend to come in pairs - does anybody have a spare?
