hey i was wondering if anyone knows of a 1000 motor that will fit in a 02 f4i frame. im trying to do a swap to a 1000 but cant find anyone that knows of a motor that will fit.

 

Doesn't the F4I's rear engine mount serve as swingarm pivot point also? If so, it'd be very hard doing the 1KRR. You'd have better luck with the 929/954. Any of them will fit, none of them will be bolt in LOL. Google the heck out of it and see what pops up.

They are both FI. Anything can be done. Just depends on how far you're willing to go. I couldn't find squat searching for info on doing XX swap into my 9RR. I just took what lil info I did find and took a leap of faith. Turned out to be alot easier than it looked. Guess it depends on a person's background, too.

 

I heard 1000 motors fit real well into 1000 frames....

I get the 1100 into a 900rr but why put a 1000 into the f4i instead of getting a 1000 bike?

 

How stable is that bike?

 

ok can i put a 04 1000rr motor into a 04 600rr frame what would i need

 

whats up wit everyone wanting to swap over sized engines into frames that weren't designed for them? I might understand a 600rr engine but 1k??

 

And its always from people that have only a couple posts and even if someone spent all their time walking them through it they most likely would never give any input back on exactly how it was done.
