i'VE BEEN RIDING FOR OVER A YEAR NOW AND I LIVE IN cALIFORNIA AND I GOT STOPPPED AND WAS GIVEN A FIX IT TICKET BECAUSE SUPPOSEDLY U CANT SEE MY PLATES WHERE THEY'RE MOUNTED. I HAVE A COMPETITION WERKS KIT AND IT SITS RIGHT ON TOP OF OF THE REAR HUGGER NOW I KNOW U CAN SEE IT BUT THE COP SAID SOME CRAP ABOUT WHEN BIKERS DO WHEELIES COPS CANT SEE THE PLATES WITH THE KIT THAT I HAVE. I'VE BEEN LOOKING FOR ONE THAT JUST HAS THE BRACKET NO LIGHTS OR ANYTHING I ALREADY HAVE FLUSH REAR TURN SIGNALS DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND THE BARCKET?

Just make your own man, it's real easy. But I'd fight that ticket if I were you cuz you can totally see the plate with the CW kit. That crap about doing wheelies is pure BS! Unless you were doing a wheelie when he stopped you then what's his case against you. And if you were doing wheelies, then you probably should've been ticketed for that rather than the kit. Pure stupidity man.

 

IF your doing wheelies, I highly doubt they will care about your plate. The Bogus. Fight IT!!!!!!

Seriously man, how can he ticket you for something 'other bikers' are doing. That's like saying other bikers often speed, so therefore he should give you a ticket for potentially speeding. Take his *** to court.

 

If that is literally the only reason he pulled you over and ticketed you and used that as his reasoning, you could EASILY win that ticket and have it dropped. If he says the view is obstructed by the tire that is a different story but if he is saying that it's cause if you wheelie they can't see the plate then good game it's over for him!

 

sounds like this dumbass needs glasses. Just take photos of the bike with the current tag holder and show them in court- cased closed.

 

I agree with all of you but just to let you guys know this happens all the time, its happened to 3 of my friends already and all the did is get signed of and kept the same FE thats probably what i'll end up doing thanks for your support. Oh and i agree with you fishfryer527 its like they got nothing better to do.
