Plastic fairings I use Ice Polish by Turtle Wax ... Awesome job. Depending on rims, chrome, mothers chrome polish, and if they are painted, I just get wheel cleaner (car wheels) that is NOT acidic and use that. Hope it helps

RE: how to pollish motorcycle parts??
Aight check this out, like they said it takes time. Get sandpaper alot of it (220, 400, 600, 800, 1000, 1500, "2000" if u want), the 220 is gonna take the black finish or clear finish off. I always wetsand(use a soapy water mix, it keeps the area clean) with one grit until its smooth then get another of the same and re-do it again wit the same grit. After that upgrade to the 400, hit it the same as i just described. Next 600 same process and so on up, the 1000-2000 is not gonna really do much as far as sandin but it polishes the area(you'll notice it). After the hours and hours of sanding you need to purchase a white and red can called "Mothers Mag and Aluminum Polish" with that u polish(with a soft towel or tolet paper works the best) untill you get a black residue then get a sock something that will remove all of the excess polish. After about 4 coats you'll get a mirror finish and the great thing is that the more polish the better the shine. As for the wheels buy a aresol can named "Aircraft paint stripper", tape off what u dont want stipped and spray and wipe off(follow the directions on the can). To get the best shine outta the wheels you can just polish it after stripping but i recommend gettin 400, 600, 800, and 1000 grit and sanding it just the way i described above. The best advice i can give you is do pieces at a time(left side frame, right side frame, left side swingarm, right side swingarm, etc..). !!!!They say hand sanding is the best i used a electric block sander while doin my swingarmy, subframe, and frame.!!!!! Hand sanding is grueling, painfull, and real time consuming, with the electric sander you save half the time and you still get a good shine. Hope I can help you.

Best advice: If you dont see it dont polish it. Its probely very rare that youll get a piece of the bike that you can see but cant get a sander into. I did mine and the worst i had to do was remove the passanger pegs so i can get to some parts of the swingarm(you can take it off the bike if u want to). What kinda CBR are u doin?
