Default How much paint to paint a bike?

I'm thinking about giving the bike a new look. It's an F4i. How much paint and top coat do I need to paintall the plastic, gas tank fairings? Do i need to put flux additive in it for the plastic? Thanks

its hard to say how much paint you will need depending on brand and painting style..some brands have less pigment and require more coats i.e. House of Kolor. You wont need to add flux, thats only good if you have to bend/flex a part to install it. once the paint cures, flux does nothing

When I painted my car, I spent $600 on sealer primer, 2 gallons of Electric Blue Pearl (color from a Dodge SRT-4), and clear coat. I'm thinking that you can get away with just a quart of paint for how small our fairings are.

I've never painted a car or bike before. Is it hard?

from personal experience, its not hard at all, as long as you dont mind it looking like ****. (im horrible at painting with a spray gun)

"****" may be kinda harsh, because the things i've painted look great at night, from far away...lol
