The last I heard all the Japanese companies were still abiding to the 186mph top end limit. What the heck is special about 186 I don't know. Maybe it was how old Hirohito was when he died. It was rumored that Triumph was gonna build a Busa beater but apparantly it's not as easy as everybody thinks to make a 200+ mph beastie -- and Triumph didn't even sign the 186mph agreement.

I'm an admitted speed freak but think the self imposed limit was a good idea for two reasons:

1> If they didn't do it the U.S. govt was gonna do it and I bet it'd be less than 186mph
2> Have ya noticed how much better the liter bikes have become now that they're not worried about "Speed King" titles?

Honda was putting into the works a V5 XX and a V5 interceptor. As far them being busa beaters is unknown. IT was under my inpression that they'd be about 1200cc for the XX and 999cc for an INT.
THe 186mph limit i believe is the conversion from 300 kph.

here is what i found out on the kawasaki it's either called ZX14 no R or ZZ14 but it's suppose to have 200 hp at the rear wheel but i can't find any information on it, see what you all think of it, it looks more like a touring bike to me.

You should post your questions in the appropriate place and not hi-jack the 'Busa Beater' thread.
