few mod questions...
I will be purchasing my first bike Saturday... and it is stock other than some lighting. My questions are as follows:
First, questions about exhaust/ pc commander.
How much of a difference would having a PCIII do with just a two-bro's slip on exhaust?
I have read that it helps but is usually necessary when using full exhausts. Would it be worth the $ for the difference it does make?
How much better is a "full exhaust" compared to a "slip on?" In a car, it can be up to 15hp and ALOT of noise. I am not really looking for performance, mainly sound and looks. Is the Leo-Vince SBK Factory EVOII Full System ($1200) worth the difference of $800 over the Two-Brothers slip-on for my preference of sound and looks versus performance?
Would the PCIII be necessary if I chose the Leo-Vince route?
Secondly, questions about levers
What brand of "levers" are good?
I found a few online and have no idea how they can be that different.
CRG Roll-A-Click has them in gold (will match the Scott's dampner i've decided on) both in shorty and regular length for $200 / pair.
ASV C/5 series Unbreakable Levers also offers them in gold (to match Scotts dampner) for $250/ pair.
How much different would these two brands be from eachother?
Is there a better brand out there (within a reasonable price range)?
How much of a difference would these levers be from stock?
Lastly, I have questions about rearsets.
Harris-$500..
PP Tuning-$400..
Sato-$500.. (available in gold to match levers and dampner)
Vortex-$400.. (available in gold to match levers and dampner)
Woodcraft-$300..
What brand would everyone recommend?
Is there a better brand out there? (reasonably priced)
I understand that each of the above are adjustable, but how much of a difference does it really make from stock?
Sorry so many questions!! First sport bike... Used to riding a Big Dog Mastiff.

first congrats on the new bike...
now for the other part...you said this is your first sport bike....know that a 600 is a lot of bike and before you start adding performance, you should really learn to ride the bike well....that being said...take your MSF...ohkay...done being preachy
the PCIII will give you performance with a full system but not really anything major with slip....but it will still smooth throttle response whichi is very nice...i would still reccomend it even without a full exhaust...
as for a full exhaust...you will only gain about 5-8 HP (i THINK)....which given the mass of the bike is a decent hunk...however...since you are not going for performance...i would stick with a slip...you'll get the same sound and look....essentially all a full system is the slip, midpipe, and headers...the headers is what ups the price...so a slip will look the same..most people can't even tell looking at bike that it has a full race exhaust system...
levers....you can get Pazzos which are much cheaper, still around the tune of $160 a pair and they have short and long in different colors and combinations (you can pick the adjuster color and lever color)....a ton of people have them here and a more than a few threads showing them...i have them and love them...you will get better feel than stock, but probably not $160 worth...they are great levers don't get me wrong and maybe for $100 worth it, but they are more for looks at that price....but they do feel great in the hand...i'll give you that....
as for rearsets...i say don't bother with those right now...most aftermarket rearsets make for a more aggressive position meaning higher up and farther bike making you more leaned over...i suggest learning on the stock and if and when you become comfortable riding, you can move to aftermarket rearsets and a more aggressive riding position...although that is just my opinion....
hope that helps...let us know if you have any other questions...and again...congrats...post pics when you get her...

As for the MSF course, that's how I got my cycle license (:
The bike I usually ride is MUCH heavier and has more power (different class tho)
You convinced me on the rearsets as I would like to be more comfortable nor aggressive.
And the same goes for the slip on and pciii.
I will look into those Pazzo's. I would rather spend another 40 and get the better ones though. Another $100 is a little steep unless its worth the price.
I could post pics from the previous owner but will hold off (:
I am purchasing from a fellow member on the forums.
Thanks for all your help and you knowledably answered everything better than I expected!

+1 for fingers. take the safety course! on the echaust, if all your looking for is sound and look, then a slip on is the way to go. I have a two bros titanium can and it sounds amazing. but its completely a personal preference.
if you looking at different exhaust for their sound go to here:
http://www.sportrider.com/tech/146_0...ips/index.html
there is a ton of clips from almost all the exhaust types. this is probably your best bet to compare exhaust tone and sound quality.
