do you need to jet for a slip-on???

Default do you need to jet for a slip-on???

ive had my f3 for prob about a year and finally getting around to getting a slip-on.....i have heard different things so is it necessary to do jets for just a slip-on

slip ons are built to just plug and play. they are built so you dont have to do any fuel management type of stuff.

BUT, if you noticed that there is a change in how the bike runs then you might want to jet it. if the bike is really choppy then do it if not then dont. it all depends on how the bike reacts to more air flow.

Slip-ons are greatly cosmetic, with SOME performance benefit (lighter weight, some exhaust flow increase). Just as Specializedfuji said, I'd put it on and take it for a spin. If all runs well, don't even worry about it. If you get negative performance feed-back, then start hunting for a jet-kit. It's not like slip-ons are hard to swap out... just keep your stock can handy till you've made your judgement call.

I only know of one brand that advertises that you don't need any remapping and that is Scorpion. That was actually a main reason for me picking them.

But I have heard of a lot of people putting on slip-ons without remapping and not having any problems (except for the hotbodies undertail exhaust)
