Default Did Rim Polish

Well, I decided to break down and try to Polish the rims on my 600RR. It worked out pretty well, So I decided to share a few pictures for those who have an RR and are interested. I didnt think there was a need to do yet another write up, but I am gonna post some pictures.

PS (Airplane Cleaner BURNS on the skin, lol)

Looks nice. I didn't know DID made rim polish. I thought they did Chains. Haha just messing with ya. How long did it take you?

did you take the rim off of the bike or did you leave them on..

Left them on. I did it from spoke to spoke at a time on each side. So 3 sections in all on front and back

I was reading your thread and really liked the look of your rims...

So I got a wild hair up my *** and here the results.

It's not perfect and pleasekeep thisin mind thatthe rim is off a 20 year old CBR600F1.

The rim has somecasting flaws and some really deep scratches that I was not able to remove with out digging deep into the aluminum.


I am sure a professional polisherwould be able clean them up, I am not a professional aluminum polisher so please keep this in mind..

Looks GOOD!!!! What did you use??? I've use the aircraft paint remover in the past and dont remember the wheels coming out that SHINY .
