Default brake light wont flash please help

i just got my new 03 cbr 600 rr home and i was checking the lights and the brake light was not flashing. the running lamp was on but it seemed to be bright. so i checked the fuses which were good. all the other lights work except the plate lights. the wires were unhooked so i hooked them up and it blew the bulbs to the plate lights still no change in the brake light.so i checked the brake light switch on the front brake. when i unhooked the power and put the test light up to it and pulled the brake the switch worked normally. then when i hooked up the power back onto the brake light switch it was a consistant bright light the hole time. so i checked the tail lamp. i jumped it directly to the switch all the lights worked. high and low. please help
thanks

Default RE: brake light wont flash please help

This happened to mine thanks to the original owner jacking around with things, and not in a good way.

Basically what fixed mine was adjusting the taillight switch mounted underneath the right controls housing. There is either one or two phillips head screws that you can loosen to move the switch closer to or farther away from the brake lever so you can (somewhat) set where the brakelamp will actuate with the lever. I would try playing around with that first, could be a 5 minute job if thats the issue. If not, I'm not quite sure what it could be.
