Rumor has it anything over 180 makes the handling squirrely. I know you want the look, but also bare in mind the performance decrease from adding that much rotational mass. Even saving the 8 pounds by using aluminum chain and sprockets makes a world of difference, and your tire is going to be the same. You're not rising a 200hp cruiser, here. Those things can handle the massive tires cuz the engines are made to lug around that boatload of extra steel and chrome they got strapped to them. Your bike is meant to be as light as possible, so it can smoke anything in it's wake without needing a massive engine to do it.

haha no i just meant going to a fatter tire than stock is pointless other than the look of a bigger tire you just get a crappy handling bike, stocks best bro i used to have a fzr600 along time ago and hated that tiny 140 rear so i used to buy 150's or 160 and ya it looked more modern but rode weird.

CONCIDER the fact that even hard core road race bikes still retain the stock size(AMA),they olny change the compound NOT THE SIZE. The handling goes to chit with a bigger tire, my buds have tried it on all diff. bikes and the result is the same. peace
