You need to tell us what bike you have... the F4s have 16/46 and the RRs have 16/43 stock.

+2 on the back is a little less than the -1 on the front.

I've read some of the write-ups and FAQs on web sites that sell the 520 conversion and they even back this up. Change the gearing only if you're looking for more torque. The 520 only shows benefits at very high speeds, not so much on take off. For takes off power, stay with the 525 or 530 that comes stock and the chains/sprockets last longer. Track racers are really the only ones that need to reduce the unsprung weight (rotational mass). Stunters and street riders will be paying out money for something that will just wear out faster.

To explain unsprung weight... if you've ever played with the kids toy that has a two handles on the sides connected to a weight in the center, you can visualize this easier. The faster you make the weight in the center spin... the heavier it seems and it pulls away from you. Now apply this to your rims and chain/sprockets. Once they start to spin fast as in high speeds like 120's +.... the handling of the bike will change noticeably.

Runnin the RK RX-ring chain with rivet master link. It's what came with the kit, and it'll be plenty for me.

As far as the jeep goes, don't need the upgrades.....already runnin D44's front and rear with 4:11 gears, lockers front and rear...and as far as the transmission, that Rubicon-only NP241 transfer case with a 4:1 crawl ratio can handle anything i can throw at it. The supercharger will be almost useless while crawling...most of my crawling occurs below 1500rpms.

Must be some kinda unwritten rule -- Jeeps and CBRs. I gots a semi-jacked '98 Wrangler to go along with the CBR. 70K miles on the bad boy with no problems. It's slow as $hit but I've had it up to the frame in goooooey mud and still not got stuck. Rooster tails about 30 feet in the air from all tires. Once I made it to dry ground and stopped, it rained mud back down on me for about 5-6 seconds. It took me 4 hours to clean that bee-yatch and for weeks afterward I'd occasionally find a piece of dried mud on the driveway.

Just Before I got deployed I sold my lifted 96 Jeep Grand Cherokee. While I had it I put a 4" Rubicon Express lift on it and 32 BFG AT's. It was a bad *** looking ride but terrible on gas so now I drive a 05 Focus ST. Can’t wait until my wife starts making some money so I can buy a silver Cadillac CTS V. [8D]
