I would maybe like to put some frame sliders on my beautiful 2009 Honda, But for the 2009's you have to cut the fairings....and i really dont want to do this (does this not defeat the whole purpose). Is there another way to get protection? Should i just put sliders where i can like on the swing arms? What do i do?

frame sliders r for frame protection, not to protect your fairings. if you want fairing protection look into stunt crash cages, they are designed to protect the engine but do a decent job of protecting the fairings.


and pretty much all bikes except some suzukis you gotta cut the fairings to install sliders

Small joke but really there isn't any such thing. Like vangill pointed, out everything is designed to protect the much, much more important parts of the bike: frame and engine. If your fairing gets saved a bit, it's purely accidental.

The previous owner of my F4i had frame sliders installed by the dealer. They are cut sliders but the dealer did such a professional job of it, you'd swear the fairings were designed that way



Worse come to worse, go to various sport bike dealers, ask if they do slider installs and if you can see some of their work. You will pay for this service (though they may cut you some slack if your purchase from them). But I could never have pulled that off myself.

 

if you're worried about cutting the fairings dont even bother, no-cuts are nothing but garbage for the blingers to install.

Frame sliders is one of those do it right or dont do things, along with one of the best n most important mods you can do.
