Question:

When I bought my 2001 Honda CBR f4i, it already had an aftermarket solotail installed on it. What I'm wondering is, if I install a split seat rear tail, can I use the trunk again? What I'm unsure of is whether or not it originally was a bananaseat f4i or a split seat f4i.

On a 2001 F4i it was stock with the split seat. As far as the solotail i'm not really sure. If it's just a plastic piece that went over the stock hardware but eliminated the rear seat, then i woud think you could just get a stock rear section and it should go on. But if the solotail thing messed with those two rear seat brackets ( the one with the two screws on the side and the one where that passenger seat latches) then i'm not sure if it would go back to a split seat. If that other stuff was stock then the trunk should be fine too, from what i would guess. Hope that helps.
