Require any kind of cutting or anything? I've not messed with the tail at all on my bike... so I wouldn't know. (apart from total removal of the whole piece for the exhaust)

yeah, you do need to cut the fender off your bike just below the tailight. pretty simple, 1 straight cut with a hacksaw blade
