Default 06 600RR frame sliders?

This might be a stupid question but im new to bikes, I was looking at some frame sliders for my bike, and i saw that they are made for different years, was they any changes made so that all the sliders are not universal, or will they all fit from 03 and up

The ones i bought were for an 05 and i have an 06, but BEWARE you have to cut the holes in the fairings to install. I had my dealer do it when i bought the bike and it looked awfull. The holes were off and one slider was against the fairing and the other had a huge gap. I guess there is no excat science for cutting holes in platic I had them put new panels back on.

it's not like they are trying to cure world hunger....it is just putting a hole in plastic and doing it right...some great info on here if want to do it yourself...I think you will see dealers aren't that great at working on mods (I know from $700 jacked up not made good on experience...no dealer will work on my bike)

I have an 06 also, the protek frame sliderswork very well.Donit be intimidated about putting them on yourself. If you have hand tools, a rubber mallet, a hole saw bit, a heat gun/hair dryer, and a drill your set.[sm=signs003.gif]

I just did mine on my 05. Its really easy. Just need a hole saw. And the frame sliders will work from 05 and 06. 03 and 04 are different.

I took my fairing off but I didn't seem to find the frame bolt that holds it. I know this makes me stupid but where is the frame bolt?

It's the engine mount bolts but don't take both out at the same time, do one side at a time. It's not that hard to do if you take your time mine came out perfect. I've gotten more compliments on my frame sliders than my manly good looks. I don't know what that says about me but the frame sliders look sweet.

yea all sliders change from the year of the bikes but hey its better to have a little slider sticking out than having your fairings all scratched up i learned from experience[:@]
