ok--so its my first bike, so i got a little emotional and bought it hastily, though i got a good price on it (6K) after owning it for 2 months i've grown to hate this one piece seat. especially when i see all the other new bikes with the two piecer.....can anyone help me on where i could find a new tail fairing that fits this frame that has a 2 piece seat? is there a kit? i've talked to some fiberglass guys in town but nobody is willing to cut the seat and mould a back piece to split it up....anyone please helllllp! email me at hopkinslax12@aol.com. thanks

 

just get a rear tail section and seat from a 01 or 02 f4i if your bike is an f4i because you didnt specify.

 

what about a cowl?

 

you could do what i am doing right now and make a cowl out of fiberglass. it is removeable for when someone is riding on the back too. it is still a working progress but you get the point. i will post pics when i am finished.

 

or you could buy a cowl i have one on my f4 and it looks pretty good. there are a few different styles out there. i have posted pics in the F4 section under pig spotter mirrors.

 

man just look on ebay for a 01 tail section. but i don't know if your sub frame is the same.

 

make sure you keep the rear spoiler that you see in the pix above on the bike no matter what...keeps the rear planted when you're riding hardcore.

 

you will need to do a rear end conversion
01-03 subframe, undertray with taillight, rear cowl, passenger pegs, and seats

everything bolts off the 04-up and bolt the 01-03 on, that simple....now finding everything, thats the hard part...im looking for a good price on the whole shabang, still havent found one, ebay is my friend on this one though

 

You could also buy an aftermarket solo tail.
