I seen one of these on ebay for around 150 bucks. It states that it is a timing retard calibrator. It states it can add up to 7 HP.

Does anyone know what it is? Its made by Bazzazz.

Also, has anyone added a PCIII to their 08 yet? Is it worth the money? Can you tell the difference after adding it?

I just did alot of reading on this and it states that it removes the restrictions that the US model 08 CBR 1000 has placed on it for a gain from 5 to 7 HP. This is the biggest bang for the buck you can buy for the new 1000.

I just ordered one. I think it is most beneficial to have a PC III also but that will come next month.

 

Im not sure but there's a guy on the 1000rr forum that im not going to link here but you can PM me if you'd like named Brad who owns a shop that is Very highly recommended by everyone on the forum that has dyno results on the part you ordered. He fabs them himself at his shop so im sure its not the 'same" thing but if that has some great feedback im sure it works too as long as you have results and dyno proof of them.

 

im VERy skeptical of this product. i have seen the threads you are referring to. i will not be a believer until i see or feel for myself. dyno sheet or the equivelant for proof is what i require before i will say it works.


just me, i work too hard for my money to just go by what anyone on the web says.

I am getting a PC III in a few weeks so I will let you all know the difference there also.

 

please do. let me know all pertinent install info as well. is it plug and play? can it be used alone? with pc3? with juice box? etc.....

 

this product does work. i got mine for 125$ when brad first started making them. he has someone mass producing now for him. the new disign is diff from the one i got though. same chip.i noticed that when i used to wheelie it would drop at 10,500 now it will stay up till 13 it hits the rev limiter so much harder almost like adding race fuel. he recommends a pc111 to richin fuel a little above 10,500 because the way it is set up from factory. if u dont have a pc111 i recommend one it fixed all my bottom end and the crappie low end sound after adding a slipon. with a pc111, zbomb or metric calibrater formally known, and a slipon they claim 170horsepower, 173 with a full exhaust no other mods. i will see if i can find his website u can call and talk to him about it he seems to be an a+ guy.
