Default straight pipe no exhaust

has anybody ever heard of someone taking off the exhaust and just straight piping it? is it even legal? would you gain or lose power if you remove the exhaust and just straight pipe it? reason i asked is because i've seen a couple of exhausts that looked like it was just the pipes without the exhaust can. also, a while back, a few racer dudes with fixed up cars were just straight piping their ride.

My guess would be its not legal to run a sraight pipe.I would think it would be very loud.Anyway I am not sure but the muffler helps the overall running of the bike. Its not just there to keep noise down or pollution

it will be loud as ****!! I have heard engines running without any form of exhaust system including the manifold. The noise is awsome. Anyhow you need the muffler to aid in back pressure which actually helps with the engine performance.

Theres a company called Racefit that make em for R1`s ZX-10`s but no CBR yet. Here`s the link to see.....

Looks Fantastic I think, you can gaurantee it`ll be illegal though, and likely make your ears bleed
