Slip on & filters
K&N with two brothers slip on... No power commander.. Dangerous? PC needed?
Also how do you guys feel about the two brothers? Worth upgrading to a yosh?
This is on an 07 1000RR

24 hours no one? Best I can tell it looks like I need one when both filter and exhaust are applied. However I'm looking at the maps on Djets website and the listings for the 07 1000RR list to have the exhaust and either the OEM filters or k&n filters...
Its not dangerous without a PC. The PC just helps to smooth out the fuel delivery to improve throttle response. Most Honda's perform better with the stock filter over a K&N. Only advantage the K&N gives is being able to clean and re-use the filter. Unless you are upgrading to a full exhaust system you will not gain much by changing brands of the slip-on. Only difference will be the look and sound.
All slip ons different. Some need remap some don't. New spark plugs with exhaust and check after a few hundred miles to determine fueling.
Also not a fan of K&N filters-Air or oil
