Default short stalks

Whats the best way to install some short stalks for the rear with the stock fender of an 06 1k? I looked at some but they dont look like they will fit with the stock rubber plugs and the fairing adapter plates say they are for the front. I dont want to spend the money for a fender eliminator since I made my own and got rid of most of the plastic on back. I just want to figure out the best way to install the short stalks until I figure out what I am going to do about an exhaust.

your best bet is to use the rear red reflector brackets. unbolt the red reflector and mount the short stalks there. you may have to enlarge the hole a little but it looks great.

I just read your reply over on the 1000rr board. Thanks for the help. I just ordered some flush mounts for the front and am going to pick up some for the rear next week. Now I just need to find me a flasher relay.
