RE: painted wheels
You can go down to the "CBR Forum sponsers" part of the list and check out TRG-Coatings...... they do powdercoating and sound knowlegable and have some feedback..... I went with Chroming my stock wheels....they turned out Sweeeeeet.....now i gotta pull the peg assemblies, passenger pegs, etc to get them dipped...lol

RE: painted wheels
$500 with exchange.....local shop/chromer here.......a very trusted friend of mine did the swap....
word to the wise.....if you do it, chase the rotor bolt holes with a tap first....some chromers dont chase them or fluff them before.....we popped (2) rotor bolts and had to take them to a machine shop for extraction because of buildup inside the hole....lol
we were able to balance them without wheel-weights also by lining up the dots/valvestem.....a little extra time spent here will keep you from having to clutter up the rim...
