Default More Free Power?!

Well, the past week I was thinking of some more quick and cheap power gains after installing my slip-on Jardine, power commander, and of course the flapper mod. Now, I live in Cali, the strictest state on emission standards, so i dunno if this applies to everyone, but i ended up taking my Jardine off, and drilling out my catalytic converter. I haven't dyno tested the bike, butt my butt dyno is telling me this baby got a few more Hp from the removal of the catalytic converter, i hope its accurate. Though, now my bike runs much dirtier, I can even see it. And I think I possibly have fire coming out of my exhaust when I race and shift at high rpm, but i haven't seen it in 3rd person so I dunno, maybe it just sounds like it does. Any comments on this? Past experiences? Any feedback would be nice! THANX!
