Lowering the Front on 2006
I installed Diamond Lowering links on My 06. I tried to lower the front but couln't figure out how. It has the electronic stabalizer. Do I have to remove it to lower the front? I was going to remove the triple clamp, then the Clip on's, then slide the triple clamp back on the fork tubes then mount the clip ons above the triple clamp. The stabelizer was in the way. I took off the plastic covers, then 4 bolts, but it didn't come loose. Do I have to pull the Tank? anyone done it yet?
Thanks,
David

Yea, you gotta remove it, but not the tank, the tank cover. Just remember that there is a locating pin molded into the clip-on that "locates" it in relation to the upper clamp. You'll see what i'm talkin when you get it off. Can still be done, but you wanna make sure you get it back on REAL tight so it doesn't swivel on you. It can't go down, won't go up, but could turn if its not tight enough. There are some other little adjustments you'll need to make too, like the throttle cable, brake line clamp. banjo fitting on left clip on, that sort of stuff. None of it is that hard, just takes a lil tinkering w/.https://cbrforum.com/m_133615/tm.htm this might help some, and if you still have questions, i would be happy to help.
fair enough
but if you lower the front you need to lower the rear as well
i am no suspension expert but from what i understand and have read
the general consensus is that this bike responds better when it is flat
