Default Limiter??

anyone know if the 08 1000RR has a limiter? I was reading the recent sport rider magazine 08 liter bike shoot out and the CBR had the lowest top end and it said 'limited'. if so, anyone know how to disable it?

Personally, I haven't had the desire to go that fast. Maybe its because I ride on PUBLIC roads.

Don't get me wrong, I have gone plenty fast in short bursts and it was well over the speed limit, but why is this such a concern for you? just curious...

Onarom I have no desire to go that fast(hell ive only got it to 140 for a few seconds) I was just curious because i am around a bunch of idiot know it alls who know nothing and trust nothing they say. But i will be taking a trip soon that will put me on a secluded 6 lane highway so i am sure i will find out. Until then curiosity kills.

I appreciate the feedback...just checking to see what I needed to do. We don't get them up there that often BUT there are certain times when the road is wide open and the fellas want to know what the RR can handle. So far she has handled very well. Thanks again for all the input and...
