Default Jardine RT5 dual tip

Finally got time to install my slip on, and intergrated lights. I got a titanium w/carbon tip and got it wiped down with WD and then fired it up, shut it down thought i had problems, fired it up again and let it warm, WD 40 stinks when burning off. This thing is loud at idle and even louder when revved. At idle it sounds like a outboard boat motor running out of the water.

Does your bike cam alot after the install, mine hits a lick now and ive adjusted idle up and down, sounds good but mine bogs worster when i first take off, only 40 miles on it so i have know idea what it runs like above 5000 rpm.

Mine does the exact same thing. When i hit about 2500-3000 RPM's the bike really kicks in and wants to take off. I guess it is normal. My bike has about 350 miles on it now. Mine hits the lick too at idle, but i am hoping after i have it dyno tuned, that will work the sluggishness out of the low rpm's????? If not, it is no big deal. I love the way that it sounds and performsas is.

Thanks for the info, i got worried about the cam lobbing. But if yours is doing it then im good to go then. The cammin does sound good and i got it to slow down just a bit by idleing it down a bit. Also my dealer fueled my bike up with 87 octane and its pinging with a lug or load, not much just a little bit, are you using 92 octane and what kind of mileage are you getting.

Yep..i use Super Unleaded. I am only getting about 100 or so a tank because i am breaking mine in hard so a lot of short bursts of speed which is killing my mpg. My mpg will go up when i finish my break in. I have about 430 miles on it now. Should hit the 600 mark by sunday as long as the weather stays nice.

The cowl i got is off my 04 600RR it is a little different blue but not worth $188 for a new one, Its a Honda cowl the targa is higher priced, I only got 99 miles out of my first tank also, only 104 on the bike now

sweet so the 600RR seat cowl fits...no mods had to be done..
well for mileage..at first I was worried...I would only get up to 84 to 90 miles before fill up..broke her in properly..now I got 1300 miles and Im able to get up to 140 miles before light comes on. Get ur 600 mile service and u'll notice the diffrence..
I only stick with 76 or shell sometimes chevron.
