Default Jardine RT-One Dual Outlet Exhaust Question.

Good Evening All,

I just installed the Jardine exhaust and no matter what I do, I cannot keep the new s-pipe from shifting over and rubbing the end of the screw that holds the stock rear brake fluid resivor on. I have loosened it, moved it over and tightened it back down, but it always shifts back over within the first ride. Has anyone else had the same problem? If so, what did you do to fix it?

Thanks,
Sprout

I do not believe the locktite would work because the bolt is stayingtight.

shortin bolt on res., or relocate brake res. only way to do it. also I talked to the guy who installed mine and he said it doesnt matter if it touches the bracket, it wont harm it. he vouched for it so I gotta trust him.

Thank you both for the suggestions. I found the answer lastnight after thinking about it for awhile... I knew it would not affect anything by touching the bolt, but it made an odd sound when it vibrated against that bolt and it would drive me nuts while waitingat stop lights etc.The fix to keep it off the bolt is to use both spacers on the left side of thesubframe mounting position, instead of one on each side. This will ensure enough clearance on the right side once tightenedno longer touching the bolt. I have test rode it and it did not shift back. Thanks again for the suggestions.

I used to have a Jardine exhaust and the spacers were different sizes to accomodate the clearance issues. Are you sure that you put the right spacer on each side?

Both spacers are the same thickness. I will call Jardine in the morning to see if they are now including new spacers. Thanks for the input.
