not positive about the jardine, but my sato had to replace the midpipe so the original heat shield wouldn't fit back into place. i know i have seen plenty of pics of bikes with the jardine and they had the heat shield back in place. go to the thread i started about "installing exhaust" and Baxsom left helpful links to installation.

I Did'nt reinstall mine. But if you were tennis shoes your right ankle/heel can get pretty warm if you ride hard. I wear boots almost all the time and it doesn't bother me.

I just had mine powdercoated and reinstalled it. I was worried about it getting too hot on my legs. It's up to you if you want it or not.

I just used the plastic cover. Looks good and no heat issues. Had to make a piece to connect the top part of the cover, but no big deal.

Just wondering how hard the clamp around the muffler was for you. Mine was a btch. Love the slip on I had c/f. Sounds great. It took two of us to get that thing clamped Im afraid to ever undo it.

Yes it has been one of my better upgrades. I wonder with just a slip on is it worth getting it mapped???
