RE: hotbodies exhaust???
devildef2002 - i'm glad that you're getting the Arata
change the filters to BMC and get a PCIII w/the right map later - you'll fall in luvvv with your bike all over again
p.s.
and i stand by my comment about Hotbodies
if anyone really wants to be spend money on bling, they should spend it on themselves (i have a super-poserific Icon jacket & gloves for sale haha)

... i actually think that it looks pretty damn tight and since slip ons only give u bout 3-5 hp anyways it aint that bad of a deal. u get the looks and the power.

thats a pretty common misconception. the low quality slips are doing 3-5
higher quality ones like sato and arata consistenly are doing 10-15 with a custom map
even without a custom map my 06 went up 9hp from the base line with my arata slip
that page posted earlier with the sound clips has dyno charts for his 05 with arata slip, BMC race filters, and the flap removed got a
total gain of 14 hp
thats better than a lot of full systems

RE: hotbodies exhaust???
well from the quick research i just did i saw where the sato slip on claims giving you nearly 7 with pcIII. The hotbodies claiming 6 with pcIII. I didnt find any numbers on arata slip on but the full system is claiming 9.7 hp gain so Im sure the slip on is doing around the same numbers as the first two.

RE: hotbodies exhaust???
maybe it'd be better to spend your slip-on exhaust fund on trackdays and/or racing school
that way you can appreciate whatever 2-5 horses the $700 Hotbodies will unleash on your bike
or you could drill your stock exhaust, buy a $250 pcIII, get a custom map ($200-300) for similar gains

RE: hotbodies exhaust???
Don't worry about the "poser" talk. I sport a Hotbodies Racing undertail exhaust on my bike. It is definitely not a D & D pipe. However, it is light as $#%!. Make sure you coat the entire bottom of your battery bow with the heat shield padding.
The pipe is loud, but it sound very stong. Mid to mid deep tone. Sounds like Moto GP bikes at higher RPMs.
depending on what bike you got, you will see a increase of about 4-5 hp with custom program. The max I have seen on a 1000 RR is 153 with one on.
I have nothing but good reviews. It is great for looks and depending on what you are trying to achieve works well.
It is a beautiful set-up. LOOKS BETTER THEN THE FACTORY EXHAUST.

Well why dont you tell us "posers" what type of pipe you have so we can rush out an get it. Cause appearantly we all need to try an be as "cool" as you. I just have to look around and find a bunch of stickers first.

This is what cracks me up about the guys who quote hp #'s as the be-all, end-all of whats mods to do/not do.... MOST of the guys here couldn't outride a stock bike if they were being paid to (including myself) so whats the point of getting all worked up about "my can makes 3 hp more than yours, so you suck, your a poser". Buy what you like.
