Rim tape is about the cheapest/most effective ave. to make you bike "POP". (if done right of course)

i like the color a lot. in my opinion all the bikes that i see and say wow thats a clean @$$ bike like youre goin for are real simple and basic. 2 colors maybe a third accent color at the MOST and very simple basic decals/graphics. stick to the blue and black or blue and chrome so everything plays nice together

Personally I think the bike looks awesome as is. I do agree with some of the other members about changing little things (levers, powder-coating). The color is amazing, you don't see many bikes that hue of blue.

What I think would make the bike stand out, but would cost you some $$$ is to get the rims to match the fairings. Overall looks sweet.

If you decide to go with the rim tape, make sure you have a steady hand. I messed mine up on the rear wheel and it looked awful, so I took it off. Although I wish it had it on there because it does accent the fairings.
