Default CCFL Halos with HID??

I was wondering if anyone knows anyone that has put in CCFL halos with a HID conversion kit on their bike?I really like thehalos but also would like to have the HID because alot of streets arenot lighted.. I've heard older verisons of halos melted from if the brights are on too long - so dont want to get myself into a bind here.

also if anyone hasreferrals on HID or halos, let me know -lowest i've seenCCFL halos are$105 from xdcycle.com and $200 for HIDdual conversion kit from fendereliminators.net

my bad - i meant you have to take out the headlights, forgot you can just pull the bulbs out..

are halos worth it when only one headlight is on during low beam use?? YOu have on a headlight on one side and a halo on the other?? just my $.02
i believe if you get two bulbs and ballasta (which is hi and low) you can adjust them and just leave your highs on.. I did alot of research yesterday on halo/demon eyez and also HID's - and i'm gonna actually make my own eyez and then buy 8000K ultra slim HID's from a ebay store.. Im actually going to try different configurations, see which ones i like the most (8000K HID's will be a nice blue and then i'll make the Halo's a deep yellow)

What temp. gives me the best light not to get in trouble with.? (white in color)
i believe all the temps are legal in most states, you just have to check your regulations. test it out here - http://www.xtralights.com/index.asp?...mp;Category=10(to see what you want)

cheapest i've found them and getting two bulbs is here - http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/H7-80...7608QQtcZphoto

Vermino:

Have you (or anyone else) installed this kit? I'm guessing a lot of splicing will be needed. Does anyone make a plug-n-play HID kit for our bikes?

i believe the link i gave you to ebay store is plug-n-play.. there might be "alittle" tinkering here and there i bet (nothing is perfect) but shouldn't be that bad..

I'm actually buying them on monday (so should get them around friday or so) and i'll hook them up... I still don't know if they will both be running at the same time or what (bluefox was saying one is high beams and the other is low beams)

I would do a DIY tutorial but i hate taking pictures while working - i usually forget to do a picture of a step and then screw it up, but i'll let ya know if it's plug-n-play and how difficult it is.

here are two links - http://www.1000rr.net/forums/showthr...ht=HID+Install
- https://cbrforum.com/m_379249/tm.htm(this is bluefox's DIY on HID) - seems simply enough with the new slim ones
