I have a 2015 CBR 1000 SP that i'm planning to make some upgrades on during the winter months.
My plan is to remove the head, send the cams off to be grinded, i'm going with a smaller than stock head gasket, I have my ECU flashed & a bazzaz.
My first questions is has anyone made any upgrades like this that can provide any tips/insight?
In the process of doing research for someone to do the necessary modifications i was advised the valves could be pitted. Obviously i wouldn't know until i get it apart. If the valves are pitted,does anyone know where i could possibly get aftermarket titanium valves 1 over?
I've contacted Ferrea, they have blank valves but i would need to get the head out & measure the valve so they could be cut (according to the rep i spoke with). I was hoping for a kit i could just purchase and have it shipped directly to the machine shop.

 

Try Black Diamond. They are in the states. I had them in an FJ1100. They were stock replacement but they may custom grind a set.
