its your bike
photo shop your ideas and see how you like it

me personally, i think they would stay dirty from road dirt and always need cleaning
but thats just my opinion

I own the same bike, I have a 2 bros slip on exhaust (easy to install) and it sounds great. As for the rims I am going to have them chromed then powder coated, one blue the other yellow. Haven't seen them painted as you described. Good luck no matter what you do.

check out the yellow rims and the blue ones... best bet is to stick to one color unless it's a custom rim your doing.. I dont think stock rims would look good two-toned, but talk to TRG powdercoating and see what he thinks about it.. (he's in the forums, check out his section)

good luck

dont chrome
chrome is heavy and if you ever have any inclination to taking this thing to the track, twisties, etc the heavier wheel will hinder performance

then again if there is no danger of your bike ever seeing a race track then bling bling

I have the same bike and I thought about doing that. I had it done and I didn't like it. I ended up painting the rear rim yellow and the front rim blue. The only issue I have with it is that the rear rim stays dirty from the chain. But I wouldn't change it. If you have the time I recomend that you powder coat the rims first. I got a few knicks and scrapes in the paint.

I think I would get the blue powder coat wheels and then add yellow reflective wheel tape on the rim.

I would go with TRG Coating - they already have a matching blue - and you can buy the reflective yellow tape at Cycle Gear or even on E-bay (plus a number of other paces)

Or reverse the color order and get yellow rims with reflective blue wheel tape, but I would have to agree with baxson - it would be a pain to keep the yellow clean.
