i was wondering if anyone was using dot5 brake fluid and what was your procedures for switching over !!!
i thought this would be a great time to ask while in swappping res.

Yes, I've been using DOT 5 brake fluid for the past 800 miles. I switched my brake lines and pads to Galfer's and they recomend and sell DOT 5.
There is no special procedure. Just drain and bleed your brakes and refill with 5.
It's better for racing, which I'm doing with my '08 1000RR.
If you're not racing, you don't really need it. In fact my buddy races his R-1 with DOT 4.
