Hey everyone, I know Ive seen a post similar to this but I cant seem to find it. I remember there being something a little bit different about the 04-06 PC3s compared to the 07s. well I just ordered an 06 PC3 for my 07 1krr and was hopeing you guys could let me know what it is that is different about install or whatever it is. any help is appreciated, thanks

 

the 04 and 05 are the same and the 06 and 07 are the same as well. The 06 and 07 are the exact same bike just different colors. You could also use a 04-05 the only thing different is the map on it, which most people change anyways to match what they have on their bike. BTW The pc3 usb is tge best mod i have done to my bike yet, HUGE difference.

 

actually you cant use an 05 on and 07 (atleast i dont think you can, dont have an 07 to try it out on lol) due to the fact that the engine is completely different from the 05 to the 07, they bumped up compression and rpm redline and a few other things. so i dont think you can use and 05 on and 07

 

ya i know that 04-05 are the same and 06-07 are the same, but when I ordered my PC3 on superbikesupply.com it said 04-06 so i figured it would work on 07 too since its the same as 06. and the 04-05 PCs have a different part number then the 06-07 PCs so it makes me think there is something different.

thanks for the input guys, if anyone finds anything else out please let me know, I guess calling dynojet would be the smartest thing to do though lol.

you can use the same pcIII usb on any 1000rr from 2004 to 2007
just make sure ya load a suitable map

well i called dynojet today and asked them if an 04-05 PC3usb would work on an 06-07 and they said yes its the exact same unit, just needs an 06-07 map downloaded to it. so menefreghistawas right. im just letting everyone know for future reference if this happens to come up again. thanks for the help guys

 

Ran into the same thing with a PC III off an 06 trying to put it on an 05. I just checked to unit numbers for the PC III for 05's and 06's and they were the same.

121-410, 2004-2005 CBR1000RR 121-411, 2006-2007 CBR 1000RR 125-411.
same unit for all years.

 

** same units but different maps. they come with the stock exhaust stock intake map unless you order it with a specific map, and the stock exh. intk. map is different for 04-05 then 06-07. so if you do get an 04-05 PC for you 06-07, make sure you load an 06-07 map before you install it.
